COOL 2021
Oceano Azul Foundation received over 70 Portuguese organizations dedicated to ocean protection and conservation at COOL 2021, hosted at the Oceanário de Lisboa. It was an honor to welcome these change makers who came from all around the country, including the Azores.
This day provided a stage for all who attended to present their work, discuss, collaborate, share best practices & future strategies for tackling the challenges our ocean faces. Topics that were discussed included suggestions on how to increase blue literacy and citizen science, the importance of collecting marine litter and to refuse, reuse and recycle to protect and recover an ocean which is struggling with pollution. Sharing a collective drive to bring these issues to the table at the UN Ocean Conference 2022.
Together, we are shifting our paradigm for a more sustainable future. Together, we make the difference.
