Since 2019, Oceano Azul Foundation has been supporting the Friends of the Ocean and Climate Group, established by Ocean Conservancy.
This is an informal and inclusive group that provides a space for Parties and civil society organisations to discuss how to advance ocean-climate action in the UNFCCC and how to integrate ocean-climate nexus work across international fora.
From 2023, this group reached 40 Member States, including the EU (and its 27 Member States), Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Fiji, Kenya, Norway, Portugal, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
